Wellbeing Tips

Hello to all my old, current and soon to be new friends,

Just like brushing your teeth, healthy habits should be cultivated on a daily basis.

• Activity should be a daily occurrence. Walk, run or jump for a minimum total of 20 minutes a day.

• Meditate or spend a minimum of five minutes daily in quiet time.

• Find your spiritual self. Discovering what inspires you raises your level of consciousness, motivates you, and satisfies your soul.

• Exercise your brain. Read, study, solve problems, and learn new skills. As does the body, the brain atrophies with lack of use.

• Hug somebody.

Makes you think, doesn’t it?

Until next time…….

Love, light and hugs,

Doris

PS! Would love to hear from you!

Perception is Projection

Hello All,

Today I want to explain the power of perception…..

People or situations will never be any more than what you perceive them to be!

During my training for Master Coach we did an exercise demonstrating the power of this statement. I volunteered and was asked to leave the room. The remaining students were given an instruction to perceive me in a certain way. When I came back into the room I was asked to talk a bit about myself.

I began talking about my family and childhood describing the wonderful times we spent on my aunt and uncle’s farm and how I believed this was where my love of nature came from. Inexplicably, I then proceeded to describe how many members of the family had died and how many were left behind!

Going back to my love of nature I described the home I live in,  the tranquility and peace that surrounds me and how sitting on my veranda and just taking in the beauty energises me in a way that nothing else can. I also described that we have a family of frogs that sometimes take up residence in the house and we, as a family, just step over them when they hop in front of us. Even the dogs are trained to leave them alone. I again spoke about death by stating that I don’t even kill the spiders in the house – I coax them onto paper or cardboard and place them in the garden!

I found it strange that I kept talking about death until I found out what the group were told to perceive about me!

They were told to perceive that I had killed their beloved family pet!!!

Makes you think, doesn’t it!!

Until next time…..

Lots of love, light and hugs,

Doris

PS… I would really appreciate any comments and/or opinions. We can learn soooo much from each other and grow in the process from the interaction as well as gain new insights!

Be Inspired!

Hello Friends,

Trust you are all creating a fantastic day today!

I’ve been quiet on my blog for the last few days because I’ve been assisting on another Evolved Coaching Course which started on the 21st May and ends again on 28th. The hours are long but just soooo worth it.

It all starts off on registration. I usually stand there and look at all the new students and think to myself “They have no idea of the transformation they they will all go through before the end of the course.” I get to see their eyes sparkling, their skin colour change, their whole physiology lights up and they walk with a spring in their step!

I feel so privileged and honoured to be a part of their transformation because, not only do I get inspired but I am also continuing to learn and grow even more in the process! You see, I get the best of both worlds…..

“When you’re inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, your thoughts break their bonds; your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.”

Patanjali, ancient Indian yogi and author of the ‘Yoga Sutras’ (around 2nd Century AD)

45 Life Lessons

Good morning friends,

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old. This is something we should all read at least once a week!!!!!

“To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most requested column I’ve ever written.

My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Change the way you think.

4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month..

6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.

8. Release your children when they become adults, its their life now

9. Save for retirement starting with your first pay cheque.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.

12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye.

16. Take a deep breath It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Just because you believe you are right, doesn’t mean you are. Keep an open mind.

23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26.. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ‘In five years, will this matter?’

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. Your job is to love your children, not choose who they should love.

35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative — dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come…

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield..

45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.”

Today

Hello all,

Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job.

If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.

Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring and understanding, be your best, dress your best, talk softly and look for the bright side of things.

Praise people for what they do and don’t criticise for what they cannot do.

If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget.

After all, it’s just for 1 day!

Try it, it’s amazing to see the responses that you get in return. Over the last couple of days I have chosen to walk around with a smile on my face and joy in my heart every where I go and people respond accordingly! I have even seen people do a double take and then smile in return. It’s such a wonderful feeling to know that you have been instrumental in making some one else happy for that moment in time. They could have been having a really bad day up until that moment and just a smile from a stranger made all the difference in their lives.

Until next time……..

Lots of love and hugs,

Doris

Inner Thoughts

Listen carefully to your inner thoughts, no matter how small or insignificant you may judge them to be.

Those tenacious thoughts that just won’t go away should be viewed by you as intention talking to you saying, “You signed up to express your unique brilliance, so why do you keep ignoring it?”

It is my intention to feel successful and attract abundance into my life. Dr Wayne W Dyer.

Know That You Can Do Anything!

Hello to all on this beautiful new day!

“Your abilities and power are unlimited, so you can do anything that you set your mind (and heart) to. Approach each situation lightheartedly: Simply focus on your goal as if it’s already being manifested in material form.

Whatever you desire, simply affirm that it’s already so – this includes behaviour and actions. For example, instead of saying, “I wish I would work out more,” set your sites on knowing that you already do. See and feel yourself as highly motivated to exercise, and as actually enjoying the experience. Give thanks that your fitness habit is already in place.

The same goes for everything else you desire. See and feel yourself as patient, prosperous, healthy, happy, enjoying your work and relationships, and everything else that you wish for.

The term Spirit is rooted in the words inspire and aspire, and when you aspire to something, you’re inspired by Spirit! You’re supported by this eternal force, that same one you share with God, the angels, and every person on the planet.

You, as Divine Spirit, can do anything!”

(Taken from “Daily Guidance from your Angels by Doreen Virtue). I LOVE this book!!

Until next time……….

Love and hugs,

Doris
